مولوکا سمندر میں 7.4 شدت کا زلزلہ، ایک ہلاک

شمالی مولوکا سمندر کے ساحل کے قریب زور دار زلزلے (شدت 7.4) نے بدھ کی صبح انڈونیشیا کے شہر ٹیرنیٹ، بیٹونگ اور ماناڈو میں عمارتیں ڈھا دیں، جس سے ماناڈو میں 70 سالہ خاتون ہلاک اور متعدد زخمی ہوئے۔ امریکی جیولوجیکل سروے کے مطابق جھٹکا سطحی گہرائی (تقریباً 35 کلومیٹر) پر آیا؛ بعد از زلزلہ جھٹکوں میں ایک 6.2 شدت کا جھٹکا بھی شامل تھا۔ ابتدائی طور پر خطے کے لیے سونامی وارننگ جاری ہوئی، کچھ مقامات پر 75 سینٹی میٹر تک بلند لہر ریکارڈ کی گئیں، بعد ازاں یہ وارننگ واپس لے لی گئی۔

شمالی مولوکا سمندر میں آنے والے ایک شدید زلزلے (شدت 7.4) نے انڈونیشیا کے اطرافی شہروں میں تباہی مچائی اور عمارتیں گرائیں؛ ماناڈو میں ایک 70 سالہ خاتون عمارت کے ملبے تلے آ کر ہلاک ہو گئی جبکہ بیٹونگ اور ٹیرنیٹ میں بھی نقصان اور زخمیوں کی اطلاعات ملی ہیں۔

انڈونیشیا کی سرچ اینڈ ریسکیو ایجنسی کے مطابق ماناڈو میں ہلاک ہونے والی خاتون کو ملبے تلے دفن پایا گیا اور ایک اور فرد زخمی ہوا؛ ٹیرنیٹ میں کم ازکم تین افراد کو اسپتال منتقل کیا گیا۔ متاثرہ شہروں میں عمارتوں کی تنزلی اور ڈھیل محسوس کی گئی۔

سونامی وارننگ اور لہرین

زلزلے کے فوراً بعد انڈونیشیا، فلپائن اور ملائیشیا کے لیے سونامی وارننگ جاری کی گئی، جس میں امریکی مانیٹرنگ سینٹر نے اپتدائی طور پر 1,000 کلومیٹر کے دائرے میں ممکنہ خطرناک لہرین کا عندیہ دیا؛ کچھ نگرانی اسٹیشنز پر سمندر کی سطح میں 75 سینٹی میٹر تک کا اضافہ ریکارڈ ہوا۔ بعد ازاں یہ سونامی وارننگ منسوخ کر دی گئی۔

امریکی جیولوجیکل سروے نے زلزلے کے مرکز کو ٹیرنیٹ کے قریب 127 کلومیٹر مغرب میں اور تقریباً 35 کلومیٹر کی سطحی گہرائی پر بتایا؛ سطح کے قریب آنے والے جھٹکے عام طور پر زیادہ تیزی سے نقصان پہنچاتے ہیں۔ متعدد بعد از زلزلہ جھٹکوں کا سلسلہ بھی ریکارڈ ہوا جن میں سے ایک کی شدت 6.2 بتائی گئی۔ انڈونیشیا پیسیفک رنگ آف فائر پر واقع ہے جہاں زلزلہ و آتش فشانی واقعات معمول ہیں۔
